Releasing the Grip
It's natural for moments of shame or regret to surface when we look back. Today, we're going to gently address those feelings. For any past version of yourself that carries a weight of "I wish I hadn't" or "I should have known better," gently acknowledge those feelings. Don't push them away; simply witness them.
Weekly Affirmation
I honor all past versions of myself with kindness and acceptance, embracing the wholeness of my story.
Somatic Space
Find a comfortable position. Gently close your eyes and bring your awareness to your breath. As you exhale slowly, visualize any shame or regret you're holding as a dark cloud leaving your body. As you inhale, imagine fresh, cleansing light filling you. Repeat several times.
Daily Scripture
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! — 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)
2 Corinthians 5:17 offers profound liberation: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" This powerful truth doesn't mean your past didn't happen, but it radically reframes its power over you. In Christ, you are not defined by your past mistakes, limitations, or even past identities. You are a new creation. Offer compassion to that past self, knowing they were doing their best with the resources they had at the time. Release the burden, offer forgiveness, and know that you are a new creation today. You are worthy of compassion, always.
