Day 27 -Gentle Release
We often think of transformation as a sudden, dramatic breakthrough—a one-and-done moment of change. But if we're honest, life doesn't usually work that way.
The truth is, excavation is a process, not a one-time event.
Today, let's slow down and acknowledge the essential practice of gentle release.
Think about digging up a garden. Sometimes you pull a weed, and its roots are shallow, coming out easily. Other times, you pull it, and the next week, it's back, a little stubborn sprout pushing through the soil.
Our emotional and spiritual lives are similar. We might find that some things—old habits, limiting beliefs, ingrained fears—require repeated gentle release. We let go yesterday, and today we realize we need to let go again. This is perfectly normal. It's not a failure; it’s simply the work of deep, lasting change.
Take a moment to reflect. Is there an area in your life where you've been practicing release, but you find that stubborn weed keeps trying to reappear?
Perhaps it’s:
A tendency toward self-criticism.
A pattern of overthinking or worry.
A need to control outcomes.
What is that one thing? Acknowledge it without judgment.
Word of the Day
Matthew 11:28 (KJV): "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
This verse is an ongoing invitation. It doesn't say "Come to me once." It invites us to continuously bring our burdens to God, finding rest and an ongoing capacity for release in His presence.
