Notice the feeling of this physical contact—the pressure, warmth, and texture. You can sway gently if you like. As you hold yourself, silently repeat a kind phrase such as, I am here for myself, letting the words sink in. When you're ready, slowly release the hug, taking a moment to feel the lingering sense of calm and safety.
