Day 13- Garden Wisdom

Think of your inner world as a garden. All week, we've been observing what's growing within you—the thoughts, traits, and habits that make you who you are. Today, let's consider if these "plants" are still bearing fruit for you.

Fruit in this context can mean positive outcomes, a sense of well-being, or continued growth. A fruitful quality might be your patience, which helps you navigate difficult situations, or your creativity, which brings you joy.

Now, look at the other side of your garden. Some plants may no longer be producing fruit. Perhaps a habit that once served you now feels draining, or a thought pattern that keeps you stuck. These aspects aren't failures; they're simply ready for gentle tending or a loving release.

Without judgment, take a moment to reflect on your inner garden. Observe what feels vibrant and fruitful, and what might be ready for a change. This gentle awareness is the first step in cultivating a space where you can truly flourish.

Word of the Day

John 15:2 (NIV): "He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful."

This verse uses a beautiful metaphor: some things in our lives or within ourselves may no longer serve us (the branches without fruit), and that's okay. It’s a call to tend your inner garden and release what isn’t helping you flourish, making room for more growth and abundance.

  • What's one small, daily habit that you know is fruitful for you? How can you continue to nurture it?

Daily Journal Prompts

  • From your inventory this week, which thoughts, unique traits, or qualities feel most "fruitful" or beneficial to your well-being?

  • Are there any aspects that feel less "fruitful" or even draining? What comes to mind?

  • Without judgment, just observe: What might be the "fruit" or purpose of these less fruitful aspects right now?
