Day 12 - Growth Opportunities
Itemizing Opportunities.
Now, let's turn our attention to the areas of ourselves that feel like opportunities for growth. This step can sometimes feel heavy because we've been conditioned to see these areas as flaws or weaknesses. But today, we're not going to approach them with a critical eye. Instead, let's look at them with kindness, as simple parts of our current self-inventory.
Think of it like a garden. You wouldn't scold a plant for needing more sunlight or a certain kind of soil. You would simply observe its needs and respond with care. In the same way, these are not reasons for self-criticism, but rather, invitations to expand and evolve.
Take a deep breath and simply observe the habits you'd like to change or skills you want to develop. Whatever it is, simply acknowledge it without judgment. This gentle awareness is the first step in nurturing your own growth.
Word of the Day
Romans 7:15 (KJV) "For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I."
If you've ever felt that internal tug-of-war, where you know what you should do but find yourself doing the opposite, you're in good company with Paul. This verse reminds us it's okay to acknowledge our struggles and imperfections without immediate condemnation. Today, just observe where you feel that tension without judgment.
How can acknowledging your growth opportunities with compassion, rather than judgment, feel like an act of faith?

If this "growth area" could speak, what might it be trying to tell you or protect you from?
How does simply acknowledging this area, rather than trying to change it immediately, feel different?
